ENTP
The everyday you
As an ENTP, you see possibilities faster than you can say them, and you test each one against a logic of your own before you trust it. You read people well and can charm a room when you want to. And your weakest habit, the one that bores you fastest, is comparing today with how things have been done before.

At your best you are a possibility engine with a filter: ingenious, quick, outspoken, resourceful with a new problem, and able to stress-test your own ideas. The cost is that you rarely do the same thing twice, so follow-through suffers and the option you chose keeps competing with the ten you did not.

You admire the person who remembers your coffee order and your mother’s name, keeps her word, and does the careful thing the same careful way every time. That reliability is your weakest habit turned into her strength, so it draws you and it shames you a little. You reach for it by finishing one thing without improving it.

sensing where it's going Ni · making it work Te · staying true Fi · noticing what's here Se
Under stress you go quiet and low. You obsess over small details, worry about your body, and demand hard proof in a way quite unlike you. That is your Unconscious, your four habits turned the other way. It is also why the person who has quietly decided where everything is going, and will not entertain another option, can be the hardest for you to bear.

When you are watched you play the life of the party: outgoing, warm, spontaneous, all senses and no plan, making the moment happen for everyone. It is a role you can wear well for a night. Worn longer it goes flat, because it is built from the habits you own least, and your actual thinking has nowhere to land.

SouthYour family
An ENTP’s four selves are ENTP, ISFJ, INTJ, and ESFP. Those four types share one set of selves, which makes them a family, and every one of the sixteen types belongs to one of four families. That is why your other three are the same as every other ENTP’s, and why they can be compared with anyone’s. ENTP is in the South family.
The types most often mistaken for yours
| Your type, or its neighbor | The question that separates them |
|---|---|
| ENTP or ENFP | Both Ne-lead; auxiliary Fi vs Ti. Do you first test an idea by whether it feels right and aligns with who you are, or by whether the reasoning holds? ENFPs care whether ideas are good; ENTPs whether they are correct. |
